Fortnightly Book Club Studying Black Authors – Invited Group

Learn More

Radical Readers is Rekindle’s first ever book club, an invited group who meet fortnightly to explore books by Black authors, delving into powerful themes, difficult truths, and the beauty of literature as protest and self-expression. Hosted by Tasha, a poet, writer, and tech expert of White and Ghanaian heritage, the sessions deepen critical consciousness through Caribbean literature and honour CLR James as a writer and intellectual who saw reading as a vital tool for liberation.

Launched as part of the Rekindling Nello James project, the club felt like the perfect place to begin – intimate, private, and designed as a pilot we hope to grow over the year. This page will be regularly updated with photos from our meet-ups, capturing the energy, insight, and connection at the heart of Radical Readers.
